What we collect
When you sign up and use SnoopAI, we collect the following information to provide the service:
- Your name, email address, and business name — to create and manage your account
- Your phone number — to send you the morning SMS brief (only if you enable this)
- Your POS sales data — pulled via read-only API from Toast, Square, Clover, or Lightspeed
- Inventory counts and delivery logs — entered by you to power variance calculations
- Recipe data — uploaded by you or extracted from your uploaded documents
- Usage patterns within the SnoopAI app — to improve the product
- Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see your card number.
- Your POS login password — we use secure OAuth tokens, not your credentials
- Your customers' payment or personal data — we only see your sales totals
- Your bank account information — Snoop never connects to banking systems
- Your staff members' personal information — we see shift patterns, not personal files
- Any biometric data, health information, or government ID numbers
How we use your data
Everything we collect is used for exactly one purpose: helping you run a better, more profitable business.
- Running variance math — comparing recipe usage vs physical inventory to find losses
- Generating your daily morning brief and SMS alerts
- Powering Snoop's AI responses when you ask questions about your business
- Sending you reorder alerts and staffing flags based on your patterns
- Improving SnoopAI's accuracy over time for your specific business
Who can see your data
You. That is the full list.
Nobody at Sara Technologies LLC accesses individual business data unless you explicitly ask us to help troubleshoot a problem — and even then, only with your permission. Every owner's data is isolated from every other owner's data at the database level using Row Level Security. Even if someone at our company wanted to look at your numbers, the system would not allow it.
We never sell your data
Our business model is simple: you pay us a monthly subscription fee and we provide the service. That is the entire business. We do not sell your data to suppliers, competitors, advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else. We do not use your data to train AI models for other companies. We do not share your data with partners for marketing purposes.
Your revenue numbers, your inventory patterns, your staff data — that belongs to you. The moment we started selling it, we would stop being useful to you. Those two things are incompatible and we choose useful.
Third-party services
SnoopAI uses the following trusted third parties to deliver the service. Each has their own privacy policy and security standards:
- Supabase — secure database hosting. Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
- Stripe — payment processing. We never see your card details. Stripe is PCI Level 1 compliant.
- Twilio — SMS delivery for your morning brief. Only your phone number and brief content are transmitted.
- Anthropic (Claude) — powers Snoop's AI responses. Query content is sent to generate answers but is not stored by Anthropic for training without consent.
- ElevenLabs — text-to-speech for the Listen feature. Response text is sent to generate audio.
- Vercel — application hosting. Your data passes through their infrastructure encrypted.
Data retention and deletion
When you cancel your SnoopAI subscription, your data remains in the system for 30 days in case you change your mind. After 30 days, your account, business data, inventory records, and all associated data are permanently deleted from our systems.
You can request immediate deletion at any time by emailing privacy@snoopai.app. We will confirm deletion within 72 hours.
Security
All data is encrypted using AES-256 both at rest and in transit. We use Row Level Security on every database table so each owner's data is completely isolated. We connect to your POS via read-only OAuth tokens — the same standard used by banking apps and payroll systems. We never store plain-text passwords of any kind.
Your rights
- Request a copy of all data we hold about you
- Request correction of any inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Withdraw consent for SMS notifications at any time from your dashboard
- Ask us any question about how your data is used
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes to this privacy policy, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. We will never quietly change something important.
